The blades are made from spring steel class DIN 54 SiCr 60, they are sharpened and polished by hand. Tempered on such a temper which provides enough springiness and persistence required for fighting.
Hilts are made from hard wood (beech, oak, and ash) by pasting two halves with natural glue. The knit is made from iron wire coiled into a bunch or from copper or brass wire or from their combination. Alternatively the knit can be made from leather tape. Ending knits of hilts are made from iron rings.
Pommels and crossguards are made from steel or brass. Steel class DIN Ck 55.
